What Are The Best Way(s) To Increase Internet Traffic To My Website?

I made a website for a friend who owns a small business (custom knife making). Unfortunately, we’ve had literally NO internet traffic so far and it’s been days. I’m trying to figure out the best way(s) to increase traffic to the site. Help please?
(P.S: The site I created is a free one through webs.com. Could that be a reason we’re not getting any hits?)

PS. sites whould not be in top 1000

No. The operators of a site have access to this data, but it’s not generally available.

Buy traffic with Pay Per Click marketing on Yahoo or Google.

Earn traffic by adding content to your website… as much as you can for as long as you can.

Ask other folks to review or link to your website.

I currently have this website its kind of in progress but i want to create a website that will get more traffic to my site and ave a better chance at selling something cause ive had tons of visitors and no sales yet I need some ideas for a good website. The best is to put a link on website with similar interest. This way Google will get you more points.
